Lucas & Jackie: Engagement pictures

Lucas and Jackie are getting married in Thorp, WA this September. They currently live in the Portland area, but wanted to return to Ellensburg- Jackie's hometown- for their engagement pictures. We started the session at Jackie's childhood home, which happens to be located in the middle of a gorgeous orchard. It wasn't hard to find inspiration! Jackie and Lucas both wanted to include their little 8 month old son, Landon. Landon has the cutest chubby cheeks that I (Melissa) couldn't stop pinching! He loved the attention, and hammed it up the whole time. Next, we headed to downtown Ellensburg to get a few more shots before the sun went down.

Here's what Jackie had to say when she saw the pictures:
"Hi guys! Wow!!! The pictures are absolutely amazing! You guys got some great pics and we are so pumped and can't wait for you to do the wedding!"

Jackie & Lucas: you are both a lot of fun to hang out with, and we're also looking forward to the wedding! I can't wait to see little Landon in a suit, walking down the aisle!

Sarah & Matt Engagement Session

Sarah & Matt are a fun couple from Tri-Cities who are getting married in September. It was so fun to get to know both of them before the wedding. They wanted some nature and some quirky shots for their Engagement Coffee Table book, so we decided to head over to Central Washington University, (which happens to be across the street from our studio). With the help of their creative genius, they took some hilariously cute photos of racing each other down a sidewalk and showing their affection with karate moves. (Matt- if your day job doesn't work out, you should be a stunt man or a comedian!) Matt & Sarah: It's going to be a blast photographing your wedding and best of luck with the wedding planning before then!

Dan & Melissa: Engagement Session

Dan & Melissa live in Texas and are planning a June wedding. We scheduled their engagement session while they were back in Washington state visiting family. They wanted their session to take place in Ellensburg, because they met while attending Central Washington University. In discussing the session, we decided to "re-live" their first couple of dates in Ellensburg. We started at the CWU campus, since that's where they met. Next, we headed to Winegars, a local ice cream shop that they enjoyed going to. We all got a good laugh watching their son, Hayden, play with the icecream spoons. After we were stuffed from icecream, we headed to the Tav, another local place they both enjoyed going to while living in Ellensburg. They played a round of pool, then we headed to the Ellensburg Bowling Alley where they had their very first date. Talk about memories! We finished the session at Pasta Company Restaurant, a place they love to eat at, and also where they had their second date. Dan, Melissa, and Hayden: you were a joy to work with and we are looking forward to your wedding in June!
